In the beginning, waffles and pizza were two separate meals. But, we live in industrious times. This is an age of meat-ivity scenes and dragonfruit popsicles, an age of turduckens and lasagna ravioli. Industrious times, indeed. And since the missus got an awesome waffle maker for Christmas, we’re making all kinds of goodies. So, here, for you, I have:
WAFFLE PIZZAS
- 1 pkg refrigerated pizza dough
- 4 oz pizza sauce
- 30 slices pepperoni
- [Additional toppings at your discretion, cooked beforehand]
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella
For this you need a waffle maker. Turn it on and get it to temperature.
Cut pizza dough in half. Roll out into a thin sheet. Place left half of dough onto waffle maker plate. Spoon and spread half of the pizza sauce. Add half the pepperoni. Add additional toppings (we used sauted onions and mushrooms). Top with half the cheese.
Fold over overhanging dough. Close waffle maker and cook for 5 minutes (watch out for bubbling over sauce). Trim off excess uncooked dough. Repeat with remaining half of dough.
Makes 2 servings. Enjoy!

Neat idea! I wished I had a waffle maker!
It was muy tasty. You should get one — they’re not too expensive and you can all kinds of goodies with them.
