Dessert: Banana Smashies

So, we’re sitting here, watching a bit of Hulu, and the missus pulls a surprise dessert out of the freezer. After a nice dinner of steaks, roasted broccoli, and a 2010 Hahn Pinot Noir, I was sure that the night couldn’t get any better. And then, these came out of the freezer. They looked so simple–too good to be true.

She called them banana smashies.

They were delightful.

  • 3 very ripe bananas
  • ½ cup smooth peanut butter
  • 36 graham crackers

In a bowl, mash bananas. Mix in with peanut butter. Place a spoonful of mixture on a graham cracker. Top with another cracker. Repeat with remaining crackers. Freeze or at least 6 hours or until sweet tooth hits.

Makes 18 sandwiches. Enjoy!
